Who was
Joseph Pilates

Joseph Pilates was 50 years ahead of his time. As a child, he
was stricken with rickets and asthma leaving him a weak young
man. To overcome the effects of his childhood diseases, he
developed what he called Controlology.
He believed that the mind controls the body. His techniques
united the mind and body into a state of harmony thereby
allowing the body to work as one unit.
